As I am on the quest to find the next step in my career journey, I have been working as a full-time nanny to keep the funds from running dry. The family I work for is great, and live along Grand Avenue in St. Paul. So when they asked me to house/dog-sit for them while they were on vacation, I couldn’t help but get excited.
I am definitely a Minneapolis girl over St. Paul, if we’re going to choose here, but that doesn’t mean I don’t adore SP. I am a self-proclaimed travel bug, but I also like to take time to stay and admire the cities right by me as well. So this week was dedicated to trying new places, exploring new sites and venturing out in my own neck of the woods. Right here in St. Paul.
From yoga classes, running through Summit Avenue and the streets of downtown and then trying out adorable little restaurants and shopping on Grand Avenue, I feel as if I am on a mini-vacation by myself. I forgot I am living in my place of employment.
It’s good to get out there and travel, but it’s also important to take time and appreciate right where you are.
